Pre-Drawn Designs (Flash)

Pre-drawn designs are ready-made pieces offered as-is, with limited or no modification. They are presented as linework only, but will be shaded and finished in my usual style.

What is the rate for pre-drawn work?
All tattoos are billed at my standard hourly rate of $275/hour.

Most pre-drawn pieces fall in the 4–6 hour range, but total time depends on final size, placement, and design complexity.

  • Solid black fill and dense areas take significantly longer than linework or light shading

  • Final estimates are provided once size and placement are confirmed

If cost or timing is a concern, please ask during your submission—I can usually provide a reliable estimate at that stage.

Design Changes

Can pre-drawn designs be modified?
Generally, no. Pre-drawn designs are offered as-is.

  • Minor adjustments (such as color changes) may be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • Structural or compositional changes are not offered

If you’d like something similar but customized, I’m happy to create a custom design instead.

Cover-Ups

Can pre-drawn designs be used for cover-ups?
Typically, no.

Cover-ups require designs to be tailored specifically to the existing tattoo, including size, placement, and value structure. Because pre-drawns are not modified, they are rarely suitable unless:

  • the existing tattoo is very small and light, and

  • the chosen design has sufficient density in the correct areas

For most cover-ups, a custom design is the better approach.

Placement

Are suggested placements fixed?
No—placement is flexible.

However, body contours will affect how a design reads. For example:

  • Circular or geometric elements can appear distorted on curved areas

  • Narrow or highly contoured placements may compress or stretch the design visually

I’m happy to advise on placement to maintain the integrity of the design.

Repeatability

Are pre-drawn designs tattooed more than once?
In most cases, no. Pre-drawn designs are one-time use.

  • If a design is intended to be repeatable, it will be clearly noted

  • Occasionally, I create multiple variations of a concept (each version is still tattooed once)

Artwork Rights

Who owns the design?
Clients are paying for the tattooing service. I retain all rights to my artwork.

  • Pre-drawn designs will not be tattooed again (unless explicitly stated)

  • Designs may be used for portfolio, advertising, or merchandise

If you are interested in purchasing full rights to a design, please inquire.
